min-studio
MIN-studio is an Amsterdam-based design studio founded by Wouter Kalis and Corinne de Korver. MIN stands for clear, positive and minimal design, both in 3D and 2D.
This is the portfolio website of our designs using fabric. With a very limited dark color scheme, we create accessories and bespoke clothes, combining techniques from graphic design, fabric manipulations, screen printing and fabric painting.
design
Our designs have a minimalist toned down look, with clearly defined lines. We combine design aesthetic with functionality and also try to be as sustainable as we can.
We offer a limited range of exclusive items. Often they are made using hand painted or screen printed fabrics. All designs are sewn by us in our own studio. Safe to say that no quilt or bag is exactly the same!

quilt
A small cotton quilt with a very soft recycled bamboo batting inside. The panels consist of different hues of black and blue. Some are screenprinted with white falling shape. Others were hand painted with white textile paint in an irregular pattern of dots and splashes.
studio supplies bag
This design came from our own search for the perfect bag to take materials to our studio and back. We just could not find the right size and sturdiness to transport tools, paper, paint, scale models, notebooks, portfolio books, fabrics and paper patterns. So we decided to design a bag that would contain all our stuff handsomely, while still looking minimalist on the outside.
The studio bag is made of denim with a canvas lining and a zipper on top. There are two pockets on the front. The fabric is sturdy so the bag keeps it shape. And -more practically- the bag is washable. On the inside there are no compartments so you can really fit everything in it without constrictions.
At this point the bag is available in Japanese blue denim, but keep an eye out, we are working on a silk screen printed version.
tote bag
This tote bag has been screen printed by hand. Each item is different.
The tote bag is made in 2 versions. The first is grey ink on recycled (film festival) bags. The other is 100% cotton with pale blue ink.
face mask
We hope they are not going to be around much longer, but for the time being, a face mask is part of our collection. We screen printed some and made a composition of two fabrics for the others.
The masks are lined with soft, breathing cotton fabric on the inside. They have pockets to insert extra filter (or a paper tissue) and to make them comfortable to wear.
